So, at one and three-fourths ...
- We gave you your first little tiny haircut in the tub a day or so before Thanksgiving. We trimmed part of your little "baby mullet" in the back! I think we'll have to do it again before we head out for Christmas. It's kind of uneven and could use another little trim! The rest of your hair seems to be doing ok so it might be awhile until your first "real" haircut.
- It has been so much fun seeing you get excited about everything to do with Christmas! You love to "un-decorate" and "re-decorate" our tree MANY times a day! We also have our exterior lights, tree lights, and one other lighted decoration on remotes. You LOVE to turn them on! A discussion of Christmas decorations wouldn't be complete without talking about how much you love the 12 foot inflatable Santa on our deck. :). It's about the first thing you want to check on every morning and you are very concerned if Santa is "sleeping" for too long!
- Your dad taught you how to do "cheers" while eating a meal and it is about the cutest thing! You make sure to do it multiple times per meal and if someone has 2 beverages you make sure to "cheers" them twice!
- You are starting to have a longer attention span with reading books. Every once in awhile we even make it through a whole book! Your favorite "new" rhyming book is "ring around the rosy" and you love the "all fall down" part the best!
- You went to see Santa a few weeks ago and did a great job. You weren't 100% sure so you sat next to him instead of on his lap. You had your first candy cane after seeing Santa and you loved it! I think you are going to have a sweet tooth like your momma.
- You are such a boy! You love driving your cars on the floor, walls, tables, fireplace, and Christmas tree! You also like pretending some of the ornaments are cars as well and enjoy zooming them around.
- You continue to enjoy running, jumping, throwing, kicking, climbing, and opening/closing doors. You also love to run at us and push us over if we are playing on the floor with you. In the last few days, you have also learned how to climb into your highchair all by yourself. Oh boy!
- In the last few weeks we have been working on you taking one nap instead of two. You were skipping some naps, napping only 45' at a time, didn't seem rested, and were waking up around 6am so we figured you were ready for the switch! You seem to be doing well with it! You are napping from about 1-3, going to bed between 7-7:30, and sleeping until 7-7:30. We'll take it!
- You have started to love running around & playing in our storage room downstairs. It's so funny. We frequently find you playing with brooms, tape measures, and flashlights. We may or may not shine flashlights on the wall & watch you chase it like a cat. :)
- You continue to be very busy! You love spinning in circles and can now do somersaults on your own!
- You are getting so smart and you understand everything! You are copying more & more words we are saying and are learning so much every day! Here are the new words in the last month:
