Two!

We just can't believe it, Matthew, you are TWO today! You are such a fun little turkey / pumpkin / shrimpy! Here is what you are up to these days!

Height - 34 1/8 inches (43rd percentile)
Weight - 25# 7oz (19th percentile)
Head circumference - 19 1/8 inches (48th percentile)

- You are still a skinny little guy. We just switched to size 4 diapers. You wear 12-18 month or 18 month pants and mostly 18 month shirts.

- You have a pretty nice schedule going these days. You typically get up between 7 and 7:30, nap from 1-3, and go to bed between 7 and 7:30. Way to go!

- You have started to turn your hands up if to say "I don't know" when we ask you something you don't know. It's so very cute.

- You are really starting to use please and thank you a lot and in the correct context. It's very grown up of you!

- You are very social and you love attention! You always wave at every cashier wherever we are. You always point out other kids and babies and want to make sure I acknowledge them. The cashiers at the grocery store still fight over you while we're there as to who "gets to" check us out.

- You are very particular and very funny! You always let us know what you want us to do. You commonly will pat the floor where you want us to sit or tell us where you want us to go. It's very fun to see your little mind working & the wheels spinning!

- In the past couple weeks you have gone into overdrive mode on your energy level! Just ask anyone who has seen you play the "telephone game" (ie you running around chasing the telephone). Hehe.

- Another cute example of you exerting your wishes is in the mornings. We used to sometimes bring you in our bed to cuddle and watch a little TV so your mom & dad could rest a tiny bit! But, the last few mornings you have put your little foot on your dad and pushed on him as to say, "let's get going, Dad, I'm ready to go!".

- Two weekends ago we switched your carseat to face forward. You were really a trooper with being stuck backward as long as you did! You seem to like your new view on the world and it sure is nice to look back at your little cute face at a stoplight. :)
