Five Months Old!

Dear Daniel,

I can hardly believe another month has passed already! Where is the time going? I can't believe it is almost June - it feels like you were just born a couple months ago!

You are such a joy! So happy, so easygoing, and so smiley! We love you more and more each day and we love having you in our little family!

Here's a few other notes about you at five months ...

- You love to chew on your hands and sometimes your feet! When we have you sitting or on your tummy near your big brother and we mention something about one of his toys he usually says "no, eat it!". We are making a habit of saying "that's what babies do" and he sometimes answers his own sentences or questions with this phrase.

- You are also "visiting" and "talking" a lot more and laughing and smiling a lot more too. You are a very happy, easygoing baby!

- Speaking of laughing, you tend to laugh a lot when you are tired. It's pretty cute! You seem to be about 51% laughing and 49% fussy when you are tired as if you are trying to stay awake and keep us entertained.

- You are always on the lookout for big brother and always like to know what he is doing!

- You also like to know where mom is at and will follow my voice very easily.

- You are rolling a lot more and are getting very strong at your baby pushups on your tummy and lifting up your head while on your back. :)

- You are just staring to play peekaboo. It's very cute. You usually flash a big smile when we move the blanket or spit rag. You like to play peekaboo in the bathtub with your brother when he is taking baths :).

- It seems to me that your hair has gotten a little lighter ... And kind of reddish/strawberry blond.

- You are still wearing 0-3m or 3m pants and 3m onesies, but your long legs have you growing out of 3m and 3-6m sleepers and one piece outfits! I think you are going to be a hard kiddo to dress just like your big brother!

- You continue to be a good eater and a good sleeper. You usually eat 6 times a day and take 3-4 naps. You go to bed between 9:30 and 10 and usually are up around 4-5 and go back down until 7-7:30.
