Dear Daniel,

SLOW DOWN!

How are you already 18 months old? It’s hard for your momma to say you are one and a half! But, in actuality, a lot of the time you think you are four years old just like your big brother!

You are such a joy and such a happy easy going little guy most of the time! We had your 18 month appointment today and she said you were perfect! Here are your stats and a little more info about you at 18 months!

Height – 34 1/4in (96th percentile)
Weight – 23# 6oz (39th percentile)
Head Circumference - 18.5in (39th percentile)

You are getting very tall! You frequently greet us up on your tippy toes when we are getting you up out of your crib. It is so sweet! You are very into climbing as well. You love to climb stairs, onto ottomans, onto couches, etc. Luckily you still like to climb to cuddle too.

You are a smart little one too. At night after baths you know it is time for prayers next so once you are in your pajamas you cross your hands and get ready! You also know how to get attention! Frequently you will be sitting on my lap and want your brother to sit next to you. You’ll pat my knee as if to say “ come sit by me brother!”

You also love to be tickled! Very frequently you will climb up onto a chair or couch and just lay there waiting for someone to tickle you!

You are a very affectionate little guy! You love to give kisses, both on the lips or an open mouthed cheek kiss! You can also blow kisses and wave. You love to wave and say “bah bah” which I think is “bye bye”, even just when daddy goes to get the mail.

You have had a number of firsts since your last update post! You had your first haircut before Jeff & Michelle’s wedding and you did great! Sat on Daddy’s lap like a champ!

You also had your first boat ride at the cabin. You didn’t sleep on the way there so you were pretty content just to sit and take it all in. Until you closed your eyes and couldn’t fight it any longer! You slept about 30 minutes in my arms very peacefully like a little doll!

You have been a good sport about being out and about more with Matthew being off school for the summer. Your favorite pastime in the car is to take your shoes and socks off. Funny boy!

You have transitioned pretty easily to one nap, usually from 1pm-3pm. You get up about 6:30/7 and go to bed around 7. You are wearing 12, 12-18, and 18 month clothing, size 4 or 5 shoes, and size 3 diapers.

You are such a sweet little guy and we love you so much! We have had a blast getting to know your personality more lately and we can’t wait to see what’s up next for you!
