First Birthday Fun

Since Matthew's big birthday bash isn't until this weekend, we decided to take a little mini-vacation just the three of us over his actual birthday.

We arrived at Grand Superior Lodge on Saturday afternoon.


Grandma & Grandpa G sent these cute flowers.

We went swimming Saturday evening & Sunday morning (see the post below for those pics) :)


Opening a present from Mom & Dad - a new copy of your favorite pop-up book with the butterflies intact. :)


We went into Two Harbors for lunch at Blackwoods.


And after the 2nd swimming session of the day had dinner in the hotel restaurant (and a little birthday sundae) :)


After dinner we opened your birthday present from Great Grandma Eades - your first puzzle! A cute red barn with a horse, pig, and sheep.

We had a great birthday weekend and are looking forward to the festivities this weekend!
