Matthew, you are ONE YEAR OLD today!
What a difference a year makes!
All of which we have marveled at you, been fascinated by you, and loved you!
The year has flown by so fast and you have changed so much and are becoming such a little boy. Luckily I can still see that little baby I held on my chest for an hour after you were born when I look at your sweet little face.
At one year-
Stats:
Weight - 19# 5oz (7th percentile)
Height - 29.5 in (41st percentile)
Head Circumference - 18.25 in (51st percentile)
- You are perfecting your waving! You can now wave with both hands & wave on command. You are such a cute little flirt!
- You are becoming a very quick walker (almost runner!). You hardly crawl anymore. You have great balance and can walk backwards, sideways, carry objects, and step over things too.
- You still love to "share" your toys (or food) with anyone who is around.
- You have the longest most beautiful eyelashes! I always say that somehow you "got" those from your aunt-E!
- Your favorite toys are your corn popper, walking toy, and cars. Your favorite book is "Ten Wriggly Wiggly Caterpillars".
- You still like baby food although we are working on you liking table foods. You love yogurt, bread/toast, cheese, peaches and pears. Puffs continue to be a hit. You may or may not have had your first French fry while we were out to lunch with the girls last weekend. :)
- You are not a big fan of sleep.
- You wear mostly 6M clothes although some of your 6M pants are too short. In PJs you wear 9M size.
We are so lucky to be your mom & dad Matthew. We have loved getting to know you in the last year. We are looking forward to your big party next weekend :) Thank you for being a good baby!
